A lovely vintage, oak desk. Manufactured by Abbess in the 1940s/50s primarily for use as school teacher desks.
Excellent restored condition.
Constructed from solid oak and oak veneers, the desk features three solid oak drawers and a pull out tray/drawer which has compartments to store pens etc this has the 'abbess' logo moulded into the plastic, the logo also appears stamped inside the top drawer.
The carcass has been painted in a Farrow & Ball grey which gives the desk a modern twist and complements the rich golden colour of the oak beautifully.

A beautiful desk that would make a great addition to any vintage/Industrial/mid-century inspired interior.
