A scarcely seen mid century chest of school drawers designed by James Leonard in the early 1950's for Esavian (ESA) The Educational Supply Association.

A stunning and versatile piece of storage with gorgeous solid hardwood drawers with striking cutaway handles. The twenty drawers have all been stripped, sanded and oiled which contrast beautifully with the carcass which we have had professionally painted using a Farrow & Ball off-white colour.
This particular piece of furniture has to be our favourite design of all time, this is the first time we have had one for sale as the previous two that we have found have taken pride of place in our own home, this one has only just escaped our youngest daughters bedroom!
In superb restored condition, all drawer runners and joints re-glued and replaced where needed. There may be some minor polished in marks and blemishes as to be expected which all add to the vintage appeal of the piece.
