A totally unique desk designed and hand made by us using vintage school laboratory furniture.
As most of you know we have a thing for reclaimed school laboratory furniture and often adapt such pieces adding a twist here and there, we think these latest pieces (we have another desk listed seperately) are our best to date.
We have used reclaimed iroko art room tables for the top which we cleaned and completely sealed retaining all the years of paint and marks something that only age can achieve, resulting in a stunning and completely unique desk top. We have also edged the top to give a thicker and chunkier aesthetic.
The left hand side utilises a reclaimed school laboratory set of drawers, perfect for storage and keeping that desk top tidy! The legs have been also designed and created by us using folded steel which has been aged, rusted and sealed on the outside face and powder coated black to the inside which helps to blend the steel alongside the rich conker colour of the iroko whilst the black on the inside ties in the black of the inset typographic inserts on the drawer fronts.
Stunning patina with lots of polished marks and scratches which all add to the vintage appeal of the piece.
